OLA YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY
18-30yrs

“Let yourselves be taken over by the light of Christ, and spread that light wherever you are”
St Pope John Paul II

Whether you are a senior high school or uni graduate, young parent, at the beginning of your career,
or just looking to connect with other 18-30yrs,
our community welcomes you!!

It can be hard to connect with other young Catholics who wish to grow in the faith. The young adults group here at Our Lady of the Angels Parish, Chermside focuses on faith, formation, fun and friendship.

We meet regularly at St Gerard Majella Church, Chermside West at 6:30 p.m. on Saturdays.

We also visit larger Archdiocesan events throughout the year.
If you're between 18yrs and 30yrs, don't hesitate to contact us - we would love for you to join!

For Parents: Ethos and Safeguarding

Youth (12-17yrs) and Young Adult (18-30yrs) ministries offer
an intentional way of engaging younger people with the message of the Gospel.

Our Youth Leaders are all qualified in Archdiocesan Safeguarding training.

We encourage our youth to be themselves, make new friends, share fun, and grow spiritually and socially.

We offer an invitation to be part of something greater, to step into the discipleship journey as part of a community
where young people can grow in faith, share a sense of identity and make lifelong friends who share the same core beliefs.

Youth ministry is a not just an invitation to young people to hear the Good News of Jesus - it is also a challenge to follow Him. For this reason, the foundation of Youth ministries is rooted in the Gospel message, empowering young people to serve and evangelise in their own way. It is a task and mission which the vast and profound changes of present-day society make all the more urgent.

Parish Youth Group is not just a social group, not an entity in and of itself, it’s more than that! It is a place of fun, evangelisation, transformation, a place where young people can be accepted and be themselves.

It’s part of and deeply connected to a bigger picture; the parish community; the Church and ultimately, Jesus Christ.

Everyone is welcome to say hello  yc.chermsidewest@bne.catholic.net.au
